A finely calibrated dimming system
works in tandem with the "flying carpet" roof,
adjusting for changing levels of light in the
galleries. Photocells detect the amount of
natural light according to time of day,
season, and weather conditions and adjust
accordingly. This helps provide an optimal
atmosphere for viewing art, while using the
least amount of electricity.
